KIT COMPONENTS
Kit consists of the following:
• TYVEK® 'F' Chemical Protective Garment
• SGE-1000 Gas Mask w/ Drinking Valve and Canteen
• NBC Filter
• Pair Butyl Gloves
• Booties
• Duct Tape
TYVEK® ‘F’ Chemical Protective Garment: Military garment designed to protect the wearer from all known chemical agents as well as a large variety of industrial gasses. Used by NATO forces as well as most domestic military and civilian response agencies. This garment comes shrink wrapped, and a wrapped garment will have a shelf life of 10 years.
SGE-1000 Gas Mask w/ Drinking Bottle: This is a full face respirator designed for NBC protection when used with the NBC Cartridge with a DIN 40 thread (used and approved by NATO). This is a one-size fits all for adult wearers. The SGE-1000 comes with an approximately 20 ounce drinking bottle. The NBC Cartridge MUST be added to the price.
NBC Filter: This filter is used for the filtration of NBC type contaminants, such as Anthrax, Mustard Gas, Nerve Gas, etc., and will also serve as a HEPA, Organic Vapor, and a variety of other industrial gasses. The maximum life of these filters is 3 hours, with performance being limited by other environmental factors. The thread size on this filter is DIN 40, approved and used by NATO as well as military and civilian agencies in the US.
Butyl Glove: Used for hand protection and to seal the garment. Use duct tape to secure the glove to the suit and to close the opening between the glove and suit.
Booties: Used to protect the feet and the TYVEK® ‘F’ garment, and to create a seal by taping any opening between the suit and bootie closed.
Duct Tape: Used as described above.
